Arctic Power Bank 4000
The baby of the bunch, Arctic have been kind enough to provide us with one of their 4,000 mAh power banks. If you can look past the hideous pink offering, they have designed a rather good-looking and sleek device – just wait until you see the price!
Coming in at only $14.95 on Amazon, it’s seriously hard to look past this product if you’re seriously in the market for a battery. Although it’s smaller than the other offerings, it comes out of the box at 0.4″ thick with the 4,000 mAh capacity battery being able to charge my S4 through about 1.5 cycles or my friends iPhone 5 for three times over. So unless you’re looking to power some friends devices or go on an extended trip away from the power point, this device may be the one for you.
This device also incorporates two USB power ports into its architecture, this time being positioned among the top and bottom of the device, whereas most of the other products in the round-up have grouped them together.
Their official product page mentions that the battery also has a 3-year standby rating, alongside mentioning the handy carry bag that is included in the total package. For the extremely low price of $14.95, we really can’t look past the Arctic Power Bank 4,000 mAh being one of the best options of the lot – as long as you’re able to replenish it on the regular and don’t mind the separated port design. Unfortunately for me, I’m often having to charge two devices at once, seeing other products in this roundup edge out the Arctic Power Bank 4000 just slightly. But for that price, can you really argue?
It’s no LUXA 2 P-MEGA 41,600 mAh station, but it will have enough juice to keep you going for an extended power point-less stay.
To help you judge the size of each model, we will be comparing them next to a standard SATA 3.5-inch hard drive.
To help you judge the charging capacity that these batteries hold within, we’ll show you how many times they will charge various devices from 0 to 100 percent:
