Anonymous Leak Trumps “Private” Data

Donald Trump is listed as one of the favourites for winning the run for president this year and while some are behind him others are strongly against his actions. With violence erupting at his rally’s and his claims about “closing up the internet“, some are worried about the steps he may take if he gets into the seat of power. Some of those people are leaders of companies like Apple, Alphabet and even Tesla, it would even seem that Anonymous aren’t too keen on the guy as they leak Trumps “private” data online in an act dox the presidential candidate.

Doxxing is the act of releasing someone’s private data online, often reserved for celebrities and those who then go on and SWAT streamers. As part of their ongoing operation against Donald Trumps presidential campaign, OpWhiteRose, Anonymous have leaked personal information about the presidential candidate, including phone numbers, addresses and even his social security number. Included in the release are details of Trumps personal agents and legal representatives, a move that is sure to attract attention (either positive or negative).

This seems to be the start of something bigger with Anonymous declaring “total war” on the presidential candidate while promising future attacks in April. In early March, the group released voicemail messages from back in 2012 which showed several media groups supporting the billionaire.

With a large group like Anonymous asking for support from everyone who is willing in front of a computer, the group seems to be pushing hard against the candidate who has not only had his details revealed but also had Trump Towers website taken down, alongside a petition within the UK to ban Trump’s entry after his continuous use of “hate speech”.

With the operation seeming to only gain momentum and big actions promised in April, the next stage from Anonymous could see even more damaging information revealed and handicaps placed on Trump’s digital platform for the presidency.

MIT Attempts to Out-Trump Trump With DeepDrumpf Twitterbot

Donald Trump’s antics on social media are infamous at this point, seeming crazy and unpredictable at times. Now, we can all look forward to an improvement to Trump thanks to the field of deep learning. DeepDrumpf is a Twitterbot created by a researcher at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab and makes use of deep learning algorithms in order to generate tweets that are Trumpier than the real deal.

DeepDrumpf’s artificial intelligence platform was trained on hours of Trump transcripts from his numerous speeches and performances at public events and debates. While far from perfect, often generating tweets too nonsensical or stupid to even be from Trump himself, however, some manage to be hilariously brilliant.

MIT explains that the secret behind DeepDrumpf is that “the bot creates Tweets one letter at a time. For example, if the bot randomly begins its Tweet with the letter “M,” it is somewhat likely to be followed by an “A,” and then a “K,” and so on until the bot types out Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” It then starts over for the next sentence and repeats the process until it reaches the 140-character limit.” The bot’s creator, postdoc Bradley Hayes, was inspired to create DeepDrumpf by an existing model that can emulate Shakespeare, combined with a recent report on the presidential candidates’ linguistic patterns that found Trump speaks at a third-grade level.

DeepDrumpf has even managed to connect with Trump’s real Twitter account. When it does so, its artificial intelligence algorithm is given language from the real Trump’s tweet, which allows a higher chance of giving a response that appears to be contextually relevant to the original.

Hayes even envisions a future where he develops accounts for all of the presidential candidates and feeding them tweets from one another, so they can have their own real-time deep-learning debates. With that in mind, who would you like to see a deep-learning bot be created for?

Donald Trump Wants To ‘Close Up’ The Internet

Donald Trump is known for a wide range of things, from his running as a presidential candidate, his viewpoints on certain issues and even in the UK for blocking proposals of new electric wind farms. The latest idea from Trump though is even more worrying; he wants to close off the internet.

At a campaign rally, Trump starts by saying “we are losing a lot of people because of the internet”. before going on to say that he would ring up people like Bill Gates and the others who “really understand what’s happening” and begin discussions to close up the internet. The idea behind this scheme is to prevent U.S. citizens from being recruited into acts of domestic terrorism and other groups, mainly based abroad, such as ISIS who may use the internet as a recruitment medium.

Trump goes on to say that after closing up the internet you will get people saying “freedom of speech” to which he suggested that those people are “foolish”.

Trump could be suggesting a giant firewall, similar to that in place in China and Thailand, Either way people will state that such an action goes against freedom of speech, a concept that is held very high in the United States and has seen many days in court recently.
