By now there can’t be much doubt in anyone’s mind that 2016 will be the year that will be remembered as the year VR went mainstream. We have got 3 major players each bringing out their own VR headsets, partly they already have to early adopters, and they surely won’t be the last ones. Overclockers UK is one of the biggest gaming system builders and hardware components shops in the UK and they are also on board for this new wave of virtual reality. We’ve already seen them create dedicated HTC Vive area in their shops where customers and fans can experience the full room VR experience, so there is no doubt that they believe in this too.
Overclockers UK will also be among the 600 buyers, sellers, and developers who will attend the VR World Congress next week on April the 12th in Bristol that is being headlined by AMD and their LiquidVR. At the VRWC, you’ll find a dedicated expo hall filled to the brim with exciting and innovative companies showing the latest developments in VR.
OC UK themselves will bring their high-performance PCs, starting from the recommended VR specifications and all the way up to the 8Pack designed and built monster PC called the Asteroid. There will also be the chance to test out OCUK’s Room Scale VR Experience at their booth.
You can also be part of this yourself, if you have time and are in the area, and you can even get in for free with a little luck. Overclockers UK is giving away 2 tickets for this event and the entry is as simple as it could be. All you have to do is to visit the OCUK forums and post a reply to a thread there. You should also take the time to browse the forums a little bit while you’re there, they got some great and knowledgeable people hanging around that post a lot of interesting stuff.
When we here 8Pack, then we know that it is followed by something great and it is no different this time around. Overclockers UK introduced the new Asteroid Mini-ITX gaming system by 8Pack – an impressive and very powerful system. The all-new extreme mini PC is designed and built by Ian 8Pack Parry, one of the best-known overclockers in the world. The hardware has been handpicked and tuned for only the best experience.
The 8Pack Astroid isn’t just a powerful system, it is also a beautiful one with its black and red case. It is also built with hard-line tubing for the custom liquid cooling loop that gives it an even better over-all look. The PC is also supplied with a flight case as standard that has been manufactured for portability, allowing the user to also pack their peripherals with the PC.
So by now you’re probably curious what kind of hardware powers this tiny monster. At the heart, it has an Intel Core i7 6700K Skylake processor that has been overclocked to 4.7GHz and the base configuration comes with 8GB memory that has been overclocked to 3866MHz. The graphics part is covered by a Nvidia GTX 980Ti graphics card that also has been overclocked out of the box, in this case to 1450MHz or more. The operating system gets a 512GB solid state drive while there also is a 1TB SSD for files and your game collection. All this is powered by a 1000W 80Plus Titanium rated Super Flower power supply. Wow.
In every single 8Pack Asteroid gaming PC, there is always expert craftsmanship with cherry picked hardware and deep testing. With a setup like this, you won’t run into any bottlenecks and get maximum performance from the hardware without any compromise.
As with all Overclockers UK systems, you can also customize the specification away from the standard setup in order to get just the right match for your needs. While many might go for a memory upgrade, the rest is pretty much solid. So what will all this cost you, you might ask. It starts at £3989.99 which is a hefty sum, but it is also a hefty system.
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980Ti overclocked (Option to upgrade to Titan X)
Memory: Team Group Xtreem 8GB 3866Mhz (Option to upgrade to 16GB 3733Mhz)
Processor: Intel Core i7 6700K overclocked to 4.7+
Storage: Two Samsung 850 Evo Series Solid State Drives. 512GB for OS, and 1TB for games
PSU: 1000W Superflower PSU
Case: Custom Parvum 8Pack Edition case with built in water cooling reservoir
Fan controller: Aquaero 5
Flight Case included
While the price of almost £4000 might have put you off a little bit, we got to remember that we don’t just buy the hardware here – this is a little piece of art and it comes with unparalleled support. As a customer of this system, you ‘ll be given 8Packs mobile phone number to contact him if there were any issues or support queries – labour free for 5 years. That isn’t a service that you’ll find anywhere else.
Below you’ll find a lot more images of this beautiful built system and all its details, so have fun drooling and imagining how great it would look on your desk right now.
Who doesn’t like to get free stuff? And especially when it is something as sweet as a solid state drive. That is what you currently can get, at least if you purchase one of the participating ASUS GTX 970 graphics cards at Overclockers UK.
For a limited time, and as long as stock lasts – as always – you can get a Kingston HyperX Fury 240GB solid state drive for free on top of the Nvidia based GTX 970 graphics card that your purchasing. It isn’t just some cheap SSD either as it comes from Kingston’s HyperX division. The 7mm slim 2.5-inch SSD delivers a solid performance, and for free, who can complain. You still get the bundled game Tom Clancy’s The Division on top too, making this a very good deal for a well-performing graphics card.
Speaking of the graphics card, the first of the two participating ASUS graphics cards are the GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Strix with 4GB GDDR5 memory, a core clock of 1141MHz, and a boost clock up to 1253MHz. The second card is the GeForce GTX 970 Turbo OC which also comes with 4GB GDDR5 memory, but a slower clock speed. The Turbo OC has a core clock of 1088MHz and a boost clock of 1228MHz.
Which of the two cards you pick for your setup is based on optical preference, amount you want to spend, and probably more things too – but it is safe to say that both are great graphics cards where you get a lot of bang for the buck, especially considering the extras you get in this deal. The DirectCU II OC Strix will set you back £299.99 while the Turbo OC will cost a little less and set you back £275.99.
Virtual Reality, or VR for short, is the big thing of 2016. While it isn’t new in itself, this is the year where consumers will get the chance to enter this field and there is no shortage presented VR headsets. But VR is one of those things that is tough to describe and it is also tough to show off with traditional videos and images; it is something that has to be experienced first hand to fully get what it is all about and be able to grasp the full concept.
Overclockers UK is known for its line-up of gaming ready PCs in all sizes and calibers and they’re naturally on board with VR too. They’ve now proudly announced the extension to their showroom that will provide a permanent Vive Room Scale VR Experience in the Midlands.
The new Room Scale VR allows users with a Vive to move around and interact with a virtual environment while staying in the comfort of their own home. Overclockers UK created this new 20 square meters sized showroom to allow users to truly test this experience using hardware built together by Overclockers UK and that has been Virtual Reality Certified.
The Overclockers UK Room Scale VR Experience is set to launch with a special event, which will take place at the Overclockers UK Newcastle-Under-Lyme showroom on the 19th of March. This event is open to the public and there is an online booking system in place allowing users to reserve their very own VR Experience.
You don’t need to worry if you can’t make it on March the 19th as the Room Scale VR Experience will be a permanent feature at the Overclockers UK store. Besides the showroom, Overclockers UK also launched a new mini-site that is a collection of all the relevant VR information.
The Vive headset needs to be powered by something and OC UK has new and certified systems ready for the Vive, starting with the entry level system for £749 and moving up to the titan that starts at £1314.95. As always, you can further configure and modify these systems before you purchase.Virtual Reality hardware can also be purchased directly with everything from upgrade parts to your current system on to VR compatible peripherals. All in one place, and now also live testable.

Overclockers UK announced that they will be stocking the new P-Line gaming chairs from the renowned chair manufacturer Vertagear. Vertagear is no stranger in the warehouse of Overclockers UK who already have the S-Line gaming chairs in their line-up. You might remember them from our review a little while ago. The new P-Line series come in a variety of different colours and with new features such as the much-requested tilt locking mechanism.
The P-Line gaming chairs are designed for comfort and are the largest Vertagear chairs to date. The have a wider base and taller back and this XL sizing is designed for ultimate comfort and flexibility. A great gaming chair is worth a lot when you spend so many hours in it, and it’s something your body will thank you for in the long run.
The new series features the more stable and heavy duty base compared the S-Line and also uses Soft Polyurethane (PU) wheels that are perfect on both hard and soft floors alike. The previously mentioned tilt mechanism has been re-engineered and it can now be locked in the desired position. A chair has to either fit you right away or be customizable towards it.
The PL-6000 gaming chairs naturally also feature all the other things you’ll want from such a chair such as adjustable armrests, adjustable backrest, fully adjustable seat height, as well as comfortable and durable PVC Leather. There are also cushions for adjustable lumbar and head support.
The Vertagear PL-6000 chairs are available in a wide range of black and colour accent combinations, Black/Carbon, Black/Red, Black/Blue, Black/Green and Black/White.
The availability of the Vertagear PL-6000 series is set for March 2016, but they aren’t the cheapest of chairs and will set you back £319.99. A heavy price but one that might be worth considering if you spend a lot of hours in your chair.
I’ve never personally been a fan of the desktop monitor stands, they’re large, heavy and expensive. Although the main reason I’ve never liked them is because I’ve never had enough monitors to buy one; until now. Since upgrading our test bench to triple 4K 28″ monitors, I’ve had to resort to putting the monitors in portrait just to fit on my desk; despite it being custom-made and a lot larger than most other that you can buy on the market.
There are many options on the market, but something caught my eye back at iSeries in April that OverclockersUK had made available. It was an OCuK designed monitor stand that could support up to THREE 32″ monitors. The stand looked simply stunning and was finished off with red highlights to incorporate the colour scheme from the OCUK logo. This was announced around a year ago and seemingly went under the radar, it seems monitor stands just aren’t that important to review, yet make a triple monitor set-up so much easier and pain-free.
The Neptune stand is an absolute beast with one of the largest base plates I’ve seen and it weighs just under 15Kg excluding monitors. There’s not much more to say, so let’s just get cracking and see what this thing can do.
It’s been clear for a while now that high-street retailer GAME were looking to take PC gaming more seriously. Having invested heavily in Multiplay and the iSeries LAN gaming even here in the UK, as well as other gaming ventures around the country, they’ve been a big player in helping the eSports scene across the country. Now it seems they’re going to be bringing premium PC gaming, glorious PC gaming if you will, right into the heart of their retail stores, a big win for PC gamers!
“GAME, the UK’s leading video games retailer, and Overclockers UK, the UK’s leading PC gaming hardware specialist, have joined together in a partnership that sees an extensive range of exclusive gaming PCs, components and accessories available in selected GAME stores* and online at GAME.co.uk/pcgaming, from Friday 4th December.” said OCUK in a recent statement.
What’s great is that you’ll be able to trade in products against the new PC hardware available in store, such as your console can be traded for something shiny, like a new PC! While you can also spread the cost with GAME Finance and earn 2% back on every purchase with the GAME Reward scheme.
“Over the next few weeks the partnership will increase further with the integration of GAME Wallet into Overclockers UK’s website (www.overclockers.co.uk), enabling gamers to spend their GAME Reward points and top-up and trade-in credit directly with Overclockers. In 2016, Overclockers UK will also launch GAME’s PC digital content range for sale on the Overclockers UK website making it easier than ever for gamers to access the retailer’s range of over 3,000 digital PC products.”
GAME’s Basingstoke and Trafford Centre (Manchester) stores will be the first two stores to introduce interactive Overclockers displays, and it is expected that many more will follow in the coming weeks and months, with staff on hand to give technical advice, support and more.
Charlotte Knight, GAME Retail’s UK Managing Director, said: “As the UK’s leading gaming specialist we are constantly working to enhance our offer in every area of gaming, making gaming more accessible to the widest community possible. This exciting new partnership with Overclockers epitomises our dedication to this, and particularly within the PC gaming category. Overclockers UK’s reputation for high performance PC hardware proceeds them – their fantastic in store and online offering through GAME will immediately enhance our offer for PC gamers, giving them access to a huge range of specialist PC products with the added benefits that shopping through GAME brings.”
Steve Ling, Overclockers UK’s Executive Director, said: “The combination of Overclockers UK’s expertise and the retail estate of GAME is the ultimate way to introduce and demonstrate gaming hardware to a wider audience. By working with GAME we can give customers somewhere to experience PC gaming on the high street outside of our Newcastle-Under-Lyme store. We’re also excited to expand our product range to give customers digital content through the Overclockers UK website. We also have future plans on giving customers the option to purchase using GAME Wallet”.
Miodrag Relic, Caseking’s Business Development Director, said: “Caseking Group through Overclockers UK are excited to be in a long term partnership with GAME. Starting with presence on the high street, we are looking to combine the strength of Caseking and GAME to gain a larger share of the PC gaming market, even beyond UK shores. There are more exciting things to come”.
Having personally worked in GAME myself before working for eTeknix, and being close friends with the guys at OCUK, and a PC gamer, I’m happy to see this partnership hit the high streets. There’s little to no consumer friendly presence in the UK from any major highstreet retailer when it comes to PC gaming, at least in my opinion, and it’s a good thing to see that trend slowly changing.
For more information, head into your one of the GAME stores above or visit: http://www.game.co.uk/pcgaming
Is it just me or is Black Friday turning into Black Weekend? I’m pretty sure last year retailers only held deals on the actual day and some into the weekend for Cyber Monday. Most places that offer deals either have a small selection of products for an epic 50% off or a huge selection for a much smaller discount. Overclockers UK take that typical process and have thrown it out of the window with this years Black Friday deals by not only having the typical Weekly deals (which is one of the largest ever for OcUK), but also have some outstanding deals for the Black Friday event itself.
The deals don’t end there, you can kit out your computer with new RAM, a new seat to keep those gaming adventures comfortable or annihilate the competition with multiple NVIDIA GTX 980Ti offers. The deals will stay active until December 1st or until stocks last, but at these prices I’d get in there quick. Now where did I put my wallet?
BitFenix is back with their latest chassis, the BitFenix Pandora ATX, a bigger and better version of the stunning Pandora M-ATX. We actually reviewed the M-ATX model, and you can check that out here. We’re expecting a sample of the new one too, so if you’re dying to see what the fuss is about, stay tuned.
If you can’t wait for the review and you want to get your hands on this new chassis, you’ll be happy to hear that Overclockers UK will have plenty of stock of Pandora ATX. There’s are two models at launch, the ATX and the ATX Core, both of which are only available in black, at least at launch. The Pandora ATX is equipped with the 2.8” ICON LCD display in the front, allowing for an added personalized touch of the front fascia, just like we saw on the original Pandora in our original review. (pictured below).
“Internally, the Pandora ATX stays true to the BitFenix DNA of innovation – this time mainly evident in the one-piece power cover design, effectively creating a separate bottom chamber for the PSU and HDDs at the bottom. This solution gives added space for exposure of hardware for modding projects, improves case rigidity and shields HDD and PSU noise.”
The Pandora ATX comes equipped with a 140mm fan in the front, a 120mm in the back, is water cooling capable, with room for a mighty impressive 360mm radiator in the top or front, and even has all the dedicated brackets you’ll need for pumps and reservoirs, so high-end system builders are going to love it!
In terms of expansion capabilities, the Pandora ATX comes with support for up to 440mm long graphics cards, 4x 2.5” SSDs and 4x 3.5” HDDs. Maximum PSU length is 220 mm, while CPU cooler height is a maximum of 160mm.
Overclockers UK often engages in heavy promotions and offers some of the best prices for components. In particular, their huge graphics card range caters to various budgets and aggressively targets the UK’s lowest price-point. As a result, consumers can acquire graphics cards at a discounted price and other retailers try to price match to become competitive. However, many struggle to compete with OCUK’s staggering buying power and stock levels.
Today, the company launched a comprehensive sale across a wide array of graphics cards. This includes budget-orientated models like the R9 270X all the way up to the GTX 980Ti. Interestingly, OCUK’s graphics card promotion spans to a number of older-generation cards at rock-bottom prices. For example, you can purchase an MSI Frozr Gaming GTX 780 for only £169.99. This performs similar to the GTX 970 while being approximately £100 cheaper! There is also a reference designed MSI GTX 770 for £109.99 and GTX MSI Gaming LE 780Ti for £239.99. These cards are all backed with a 2-year warranty.
For the price, the 780Ti is astonishing value and used to be a top-tier graphics card. In terms of real world performance, the card competes with the GTX 980 which retails between £375-£450.
Finally, you can pick up the Fury X for £499.99 and the R9 Nano is priced at £469.99. Thankfully, the Fury X prices have come down to the RRP as inflated prices were imposed by retailers due to stock shortages. On another note, the KFA2 GTX 980Ti is available for £479.99 and built on the Titan X PCB. This makes it a good choice for custom water-cooling configurations. My pick of the sale has to be the EVGA GTX 980Ti Superclocked+ which retails for £509.99.
This particular card is used in my own personal rig and features a core clock of 1102MHz and boost of 1190MHz. Additionally the ACX 2.0+ cooling system results in quiet operating temperatures and utilizes a semi-passive 0db mode under low load. The GPU implements a lovely EVGA logo and branding via white LEDs and opts for a hefty backplate.
Please note, only the NVIDIA 900 series cards are eligible for the free game promotion.
Overclockers UK is an established player in the hardware retail sector and provides a stellar customer service through approachable team members and impeccable communication on the site’s official forum. The company’s highly adept team of engineers produces a wide array of custom PC builds to suit varying budgets and contrasting tastes. OCUK decided to send the Evolution Envy Mini Gaming PC for review purposes which features a substantial upgrade compared to the basic model.
This particular configuration includes an Intel Core i7-4970K, 8GB DDR3 2400 MHz RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970, MSI Z97I AC ITX motherboard, 120GB Samsung SSD boot drive, 1TB Samsung SSD data drive and ultra-reliable SuperFlower HX 550W 80+ gold power supply. The CPU has been manually overclocked to a frequency of 4.5 GHz and remains relatively cool due to an Asetek-designed-240mm closed-looped-liquid cooler. OCUK combined this wonderful array of components in a portable form-factor which makes it the perfect LAN event PC. Although, it will be fascinating to determine if the restricted space causes any issues during stressful benchmarks.

Packing and Accessories
The Evolution Envy Mini comes in a surprisingly large box given the chassis size which contains two thick cardboard layers held together by banded wires. This ensures the package remains protected during transit as it’s virtually impossible for the box or its contents to become dislodged.
Once the cardboard layers have been removed, we can see the main chassis alongside strong, protective foam. OCUK also employed durable side supports to enhance the box’s net weight and increase the packaging’s stability. Please note, the retail version is complete with component boxes but this isn’t included on press samples as the packaging is easily lost among other samples.
On another note, the system is bundled with a comprehensive setup guide and tasty selection of Haribo sweets. The setup manual is excellent and explains in clear, concise English how to attach your peripherals. It also gives an indication about fault checking and advises when to contact customer support.
Here we can see the main chassis box which provides a good amount of padding to reduce impact during shipping. Thankfully, OCUK’s attentive approach with the outer packaging kept the chassis cosmetically and mechanically sound. In theory, they could have got away with just sending the item in a chassis box, but avoided this due to damage concerns.
The chassis box contains a precautionary message informing you to retain the packaging for RMA purposes. This is very clear, and in bold writing so it’s impossible to throw away the original packaging without prior notice of OCUK’s return procedure.
After the top seal has been broken, we can see the tightly packed case which features two supporting foam blocks and a large cover. I didn’t encounter any rips on the cover whatsoever which signifies the chassis was well protected and didn’t fall victim to any cosmetic marks.
The foam supports are surprisingly thick for an ITX-size case and constructed from remarkably strong material. As a result, I found it difficult to bend or snap the supports despite applying a significant amount of force. This means, the chassis withstands a lot of punishment and offers enough protection against even the most heavy-handed couriers.
Gaming chairs are extremely popular and provide a great way to enhance your desktop experience and comfort. The brand new Vertagear gaming chairs have just hit Overclockers UK and look like a very promising addition to the gaming chair market. The Vertagear range, which is inspired by car racing seats, offers three options; the SL2000, SL4000 and the SL5000 in their Racing Series S-Line.
“Vertagear’s main focus is on comfort and adjustability. Knowing gamers tend to ignore the importance of a chair when sitting in front of a computer and they lose the sense of time when playing their games this results in back pain and neck pain. One chair does not fit all, this is the reason why Vertagear designed chairs to accommodate different type of users.”
Adjustable armrests, seat height and backrests can make a world of difference to your gaming experience. They can help your posture, save you from some back pain and help you stay comfortable during those marathon gaming sessions. Although, anyone who’s sat in a cheap chair will know that improper seating is not a great thing to have to live with.
“The desirable S-Line series is designed with the basis of ergonomics and adjustability as the main feature of the chair. All models have one thing in common and that is to give a wide range of adjustability and flexibility to gamers.
170 degree recline, Ergonomically designed armrests with padding, height adjustments, lumbar support and more are available on the range and you can find out more about these new chairs, as well as order one for yourself at Overclockers UK.
The OC UK Evolution systems are built around Phanteks Evolve chassis and come in six different base variations that can be further customized upon order. The range consists of two distinct line-ups, The Wrath based on AMD graphics and the Envy based on NVIDIA, giving customers the choice according to their preference.
As mentioned, there are six models in the range: Envy and Wrath Mini, The Envy, The Wrath, The Envy Duo and The
Wrath Duo, and the fun starts from £999.95 and goes up to £1419.94. The mini and normal systems depend on the chassis size while the Duo systems pack the extra power of two GPUs.
The Wrath range features a Red colour theme including LED’s while the Envy range has a Green theme. Customers can however specify alternative colours and other options such as secondary hard drives or SSDs for those who want a PC configured just the right way. The whole thing is built with high-quality components such as the Gold rated Super Flower PSU and the Evolution range offers overclocked speeds of up to 4.5 GHz (i7 4790k).
With those specifications in mind, we know that these systems are suitable for all gamers but they are aimed primarily at the more experienced and more technically demanding enthusiast and professionals. Each PCs is assembled, configured, overclocked, and tested by Overclockers UK’s experienced and professional system builders and comes with a standard 3-year warranty and labour free upgrade service for total peace of mind.
The systems are fully Windows 10 ready, so nothing stands in the way of an upgrade when the OS is released shortly. Remember, Windows 7 and 8.1 users can upgrade for free to Windows 10 within the first year of release and get the latest benefits from the house of Microsoft.
The Evolution range is perfect for those who want an out of the box solution as well as those who want to make further changes to their systems later on.
All of these systems are also available to purchase through finance, allowing you to buy now and pay in 6 or 12 months, or pay over monthly payment for 36 or 48 months. You can check out the entire line-up here where you’re able to further configure the systems to your needs before purchase.
The stunning PC-08 from Lian Li is here at last! We’ve seen this gorgeous chassis and many trade shows around the world, but the chassis has always been a little out of reach for consumers, until now.
The PC-08 comes equipped with all the high-end precision-cut aluminium you would expect from Lian Li, as well as tempered glass front and side panels, giving it a truly premium look. There’s built-in RGB LED lighting, a double wide dual compartment layout, ATX motherboard support, modular storage and more. Cooling support is pretty impressive too, with room for 240mm radiator in the top, as well as a 360mm in the front, or room for lots of fans and a large tower air cooler of up to 170mm tall. Multi-GPU setups won’t be an issue either, with eight expansion bays and room for cards up to 370mm in length.
The PC-08 will be available in the UK at Overclockers UK from the end of July. The PC-08 comes with an MSRP of £339.90, which is obviously expensive, but this isn’t your everyday run of the mill steel and perspex box.
This is a great looking chassis, no doubt about that, but the question is, will you be investing in one for your next build?
Ahh OverclockersUK, you like your teaser videos don’t you; teasing us mere peasants with technology we can only dream of. Well since the introductions of 8Pack to the OCUK team, the amount of ‘8Pack’ branded hardware to come out of there has been consistent in terms of quality and performance. Starting off with the 8Pack highly overclocked super systems and then onto the world’s first SuperFlower 2000w PSU with 8Pack branding; he seems to be offering the top end market exactly what they want.
Let’s take a look at some of the previous 8Pack teaser videos.
Very choppy, very little information apart from the PSU one. Something tells me that a new product is coming with the new video, but what could it be?
From first impressions, it is definitely a fan of some kind, is that steam/ LN2 fog being pushed out to the bottom left or just the shine of the fan fins? Could this be a new cooling unit, maybe an 8Pack liquid cooling unit, or maybe even a graphics card cooling unit? Who knows.
What’s that at the end of the video, a subliminal message of some sort? Play the video back and let us know what you think you can hear in the comments.
Here at i54 we see OverclockersUK. In true OCUK style we have the multitude of display machines ranging from budget HTPC’s right up to their high end 8-Pack style system. As you can imagine, the spectators flocked to the stand, playing a little Battlefield Hardline, Tomb Raider and Portal 2 to name a few. However, OCUK poised themselves for another busy year by offering their “Delivery to Desk” service. Ideal for the LAN gamers situated throughout the RICOH Arena.
Along with the massive display of technology built into the systems, we also saw a few glass cabinets housing some hard drives, routers and the wholly special 2000w 8-Pack Superflower PSU; such an immense and underestimated unit.
It’s system review time at eTeknix HQ and today Overclockers.co.uk step into the arena with their Titan Pandora Gaming PC. Housed in a Bitfenix Pandora case we have a high-end i5 4690k overclocked to 4.2GHz, Nvidia GTX 970, 16GB of DDR3 with a clock speed of 2133MHz. There is a double 240mm AIO CPU liquid cooler and a Galax GeForce GTX 970 EXOC Black Edition featuring an impressive 11% overclock. On the storage front, we have Samsung’s latest SSD offering in terms of the 250GB 850 EVO, with a larger amount of storage supplied in the form of a Seagate Barracuda 2TB mechanical hard drive.
Gaming systems at this price point have become very competitive recently, so let’s get stuck in and see what else the Titan Pandora has to offer!
Name: Overclockers UK Titan Pandora

After leaving OverclockersUK online store, DEEPCOOL has been out of the UK cooling market for a little while. This left a hole in most of us that loved the initiative designs and cooling capabilities of their products. Well now that hole can be filled with DEEPCOOL being restocked back in the UK through Amazon, HAZZAHH!
DEEPCOOL, what started off as a company producing high-end cooling solutions for laptops and PCs such as the Assassin series air cooler and Captain series liquid coolers, now produces some amazing products that are designed around keeping the inside of your computer icy cool; cases and power supplies being a few.
Let’s hope more competition in the UK market brings us more radical designs from EU companies.
You may remember that last week OCUK were teasing us, Well today Super Flower and Ian “8Pack” Parry have announced that they have joined together to bring us a 2000W power supply – the first one on the market for consumers.
Super Flower are a high end PSU manufacturer that are really pushing the boundaries and its no surprise that they have teamed up with the global number one overclocker 8pack to bring us this 2000W power supply. This means that he will be able to overclock 4-Way SLI/CrossfireX with ease and with a platinum rating it will be efficient too!
The power supply boasts the following features:

Raijintek is back once again with yet another product that promises great quality at an affordable price. Raijintek have been on a winning streak here at eTeknix; every product we’ve seen from the company has been excellent and competitively priced, can their new Arcadia chassis keep that trend going? I certainly hope so.
The Arcadia is a budget chassis. With a price tag of just £25 there is no doubt that this is an affordable product. Cheap cases are often associated with being lower quality, but in the last couple of years we’ve seen several chassis’ hit the market that offer incredible value for money, without skimping on features. I’m hoping we’ll see something similar from the Arcadia.
As you can see from the specifications below, the Arcadia is available in black or white and it supports ATX and MicroATX motherboards. There are two 5.25″ drive bays, a range of 2.5″ and 3.5″ mounts, USB 3.0 support and more. Cooling is managed via four 120mm fan mounts with a single 120mm fan pre-installed.
The packaging is nicely designed, with a graphic representation of the chassis on the front and the specifications around the sides.
In the box you’ll find a 120mm dust filter for the PSU and a 240mm dust filter for the top panel. There’s also a simple user manual, some cable ties and all of the major screws and fittings required to install your components.
Mechanical keyboards offer incredible performance and durability compared to membrane switch keyboards, and they’re loved by gamers and day-to-day PC users alike for their unique tactile feel. There’s more to your typical mechanical keyboard than just the feel and the sound of the switches, you can choose the type of switches you want in your keyboard, such as Cherry MX Blue, Brown, Black, Red, Green and of course the mechanical switches from competing brands such as Kailh. There are a lot of MX compatible keyboards that allow you to remove the key caps and replace them with aftermarket ones, and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing today.
Mechanical keyboards do have one downside vs a membrane switch, plunger or even scissor switch keys, in that they’re often louder, this can be a big distraction for some and while the noise levels vary from one switch type to the other, mechanical switches are almost always noisier than membrane keyboards. There is a solution to this problem, known as O-Ring modding, which is something I’ve known about for a while, but never really had the opportunity to put to the test; until today. So while I’ll be replacing the key caps on my keyboard today, I’ll also be installing a range of O-Ring mods to test how they can effect the overall acoustic performance of my keyboard.
For those of you who don’t know what O-Ring mods are, they’re simply little rubber hoops that can be put onto the stem on the inside of a mechanical keyboard key cap, this prevents the key from bottoming out (hitting the chassis of the keyboard or the switch) and as such, they can massively reduce the acoustic levels of your typing.
At my disposal today I have a set of double shot injection Cherry MX stem key caps, they come bundled in a clear plastic box, nothing fancy, but it’s not like they need to be individually wrapped.
Around the back you can see there are other colour options available, although I’m quite happy with the neat and tidy white colour we’ve chosen for today’s review.
In the box you’ll find a simple owners booklet and a key cap puller; an essential tool for any mechanical keyboard owner.
The O-Ring mods come in three choices; black, clear and blue. They’re quite small, so they only come packaged in a ziplock style bag
We work very closely with Overclockers UK, and we know that even though business is of paramount importance, they also like to have a bit of fun too. Especially when it comes to interacting with their customer base and many frequent visitors to their huge forums.
In typical taste of the lads at OcUK, they have devised a cunning plan of showing off some of their stock of various branded GTX 900 series graphics cards. They have done something similar in the past with new graphics card launches, so regular fans of them will know what to expect.
With the last launch day pyramid, the picture circulated the web in every direction and we feel this one will be no different.
Overclockers UK state:
“The pyramid is just a small taste of what Overclockers UK have to offer, with inventory of over 1000 NVIDIA GTX 9 series graphics cards.”
They have also apologised for the lack of an iconic item; the soft toy burger, which has always photobombed these types of pictures, but with a hectic launch in the early hours, it was sadly forgotten.
To make up for it, they have given a large selection of cards from various brands at amazing prices to keep you happy, so check out what’s available here.
It’s also worth noting that their gaming systems have also been updated to include the new cards as a choice when ‘speccing’ up a new rig.
We’re hanging out at the Overclockers UK booth chatting with legendary overclocked and modder 8 Pack (pictured above on the left). Overclockers are one of the biggest and best computer retailers here in the UK and they’ve brought all kinds of cool gadgets along with them for you to check out at the show.
They’re also still running their famous deliver to desk service, providing a life line for those in need of replacement parts, upgrades and more at the show, a vital service when you have a few thousand games in the other halls.
The Nvidia Shield tablet was on display for people to try out, so far it has been a popular attraction and we’re certainly fans of this mighty powerful little device.
Overclockers sell gaming PCs and their booth is littered with many of their popular choices, ready for you to pull up a seat and play some games.
The Emperor gaming rig is here again, always a show favourite and the crowd just loves having a go on this £10,000 behemoth setup that is unlike any gaming desk on the market.
That’s everything from this booth for today, but we’ll be back shortly with even more coverage from this weekends event.
The NZXT Kraken X31 is the latest evolution of the very popular NZXT AIO CPU water cooling product range. Much of the design has been tweaked to offer improved performance over the previous model, which is still one of the best AIO cooler ranges on the market. The X31 features a new 120mm radiator design, something that will no doubt please those who didn’t have room for the old model, which featured a 140mm radiator.
The radiator is backed up by the latest FX120 V2 fan, which offers high performance and low noise despite its smaller fan size. The mounting hardware has also been tweaked and improved, and the long pipes of the previous X series coolers is still in place, which means the cooler is more compatible with a wide range of chassis sizes.
It is also one of the first variable speed all in one water coolers on the market, and using the new NZXT CAM software you can actually adjust the fan speed and the pump speed to better tune performance and noise from the unit.
Pre-orders are available from overclockers.co.uk and the cooler is backed up by an impressive 6 year warranty.
