Back to the Future’s Pepsi Perfect Coming This Month

We’ve had hoverboards, self-lacing Nike MAG shoes, and even a 30th anniversary cinema re-release of the film that born them, and now the latest vision of the future from famed sci-fi sequel Back to the Future II to be made a reality is the sleek Pepsi bottle, as delivered to Marty McFly via pneumatic tube in the retro Café 80’s. Pepsi is releasing the limited edition Pepsi Perfect on 21st October, 2015, the very day that Marty and Doc Brown visited as they jetted into the future to save Marty’s son from prison.

“Fans have always been a little crazy about it,” Lou Arbetter, Senior Director of Marketing  at PepsiCo, said, “and so we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Marty travelled to the future, to this month, and wanted to actually come out with the product.”

Only 6,500 Pepsi Perfect bottles will be released, costing $20.15 each and sold exclusively online. The drink inside is not, however, a new flavour of Pepsi, but the regular, real sugar version.  A further 1,500 Pepsi Perfect bottles will be distributed at this week’s New York ComicCon.

“We’re fans of this popular trilogy, and just generally, if you work at Pepsi you’re fans of pop culture. The brand has made its mark in pop culture frankly since Michael Jacksonmoonwalked. We’ve been dancing in and around pop culture for a while,” Arbetter added. “So we look at this as another opportunity to have a little bit of fun.”

New Trailer For Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice

With the San Diego Comic Con currently on going, it is no surprise to see a few new trailers released for upcoming comic inspired movies. This trailer does give us a better look at the upcoming feature and the trailers shows us a lot more information regarding Ben Afflecks interpretation of the caped crusader. So far Batman is starting to look incredibly awesome, the trailer also gives us a glimpse of Superman’s perspective as he is blamed for the destruction of Metropolis. We are given our first look at Wonderwoman although it’s very brief, we also get a look of Jesse Eisenberg’s role of Lex Luthor, as he seems to play a pivotal role in the film.

So far Batman V Superman is looking pretty great, hopefully we will see more of Batman and Superman fighting each other rather than them fighting for screen time.

Here we can see a sneaky shot of Robins costume littered with graffiti with joker being the clear culprit, it’s possible joker will be playing a role in the movie and maybe even robin.

In the next screenshot, we can see of Lex Luthor glancing over some kryptonite in a glass case, definitely will play a big plot point in the film.

Are you pumped for Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice?

Vicious Beating of Cospalyer Investigated by San Diego Police

San Diego Harbor Unified District Police have recently released a press statement addressing the arrest of a man who may be connected to a brutally beaten Comi-Con cosplaying attendee:

“Harbor Police arrested a 29-year-old man early Sunday morning, July 27th in a hotel at 333 West Harbor Drive. He was booked into San Diego County Jail at 11:20 am on charges of sexual contact with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of minor. The victim, a juvenile female, was transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. The Harbor Police Investigations Unit is handling the incident. This investigation is ongoing.” Comicsbeat

Due to the victim being a minor, her name and information has been withdrawn.

The information to this crime has been spread throughout Tumblr and Reddit after the young girl, dressed as Roger Rabbit, was found bleeding on the side of the road. Comicsbeat has been in contact with the girls parents, the public account of the situation reads:

“IF YOU WENT TO SAN DIEGO COMIC CON OR KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS, PLEASE READ.

One of my dearest friends was found on the side of the road, unconscious and bloody. She was wearing this cosplay on the day it happened. She was last seen with friends when she ran off after a disagreement. Please, please, please, if you have ANY information or saw her anywhere, contact her mother. The full information is down below. This isn’t okay and it’s sickening to know that this happened at a place people truly can enjoy themselves. Please spread the word.
”I just received a call from the San Diego Police Department and my daughter REDACTED aka REDACTED was found on the side of the road covered in blood with no ID unconscious. They are unsure what happened to her. My husband is on his way to the police station and then the hospital. If you have any information on what happened to her please send me a facebook message or call me at REDACTED. Thank you in advance”. -REDACTED” Comicsbeat

This is obviously quite a serious criminal issue and is a heartbreaking reminder that people not always safe – even when in large crowds.

Stay tuned to eTeknix and we shall report when any more information may arise.
