Computer Paints ‘New Rembrandt’ From Data Analysis

Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn is regarded as one of the most imaginative and talented European artists during the baroque era. As with any iconic artist, it’s always important to showcase their finest work in art galleries to inspire people to take up a creative hobby. The incredible advancements in modern technology allow us to take this one step further and employ data analysis to create new pieces. Recently, a team of engineers working alongside Microsoft managed to create a 3D printed painting in the style of Rembrandt. The end result is absolutely breathtaking and uses the same texture as an authentic oil painting. Emmanuel Flores, director of technology on the project told the BBC:

“We really wanted to understand what makes a face look like a Rembrandt,”

Information about Rembrandt’s previous works were compiled and computers discovered key patterns to gauge his artistic style. For example, it recognized how he would shape a subject’s eyes or other facial features. Machine learning algorithms were developed to create a new piece which accurately mimicked Rembrandt’s signature brush strokes. Flores also added:

“We found that with certain variations in the algorithm, for example, the hair might be distributed in different ways,”

“Our goal was to make a machine that works like Rembrandt,”

“We will understand better what makes a masterpiece a masterpiece.”

To limit the number of possibilities, the computational equations revolved around a portrait of a Caucasian male between the ages of 30 and 40 sporting a fashionable beard. Furthermore, details about the individual’s clothing ensured that the final result could be narrowed down using strict parameters. After being verified with digital tagging, humans selected algorithms based on their efficiency and allowed the computer to create the final piece. Once this was complete, a 3D texture was applied to correspond with the height and depth of paint used on typical Rembrandt works.

Exquisite Eggshell Carving Artwork Is No Yolk

Artists are always finding exciting and fresh ways to promote their artwork; this is, well, no exception, after the China Youth Network recently reported concerning a craftsman who conveys his artwork on eggshells. The artist in question is based in China and goes by the name Huangwei Xiang; he is 64 years old this year and below are images of this quite amazing yet delicate artwork.

As you can see, the first image below is of this gentleman’s latest series entitled “108 Water Margin Heroes” these were carved in 108 days. the fragility of the eggshell means the need for a delicate hand when applying pressure.

The next image below is of a phenomenal carving within a hollow eggshell, the intricate patterns and imaginative design certainly opens the door for a range of possibilities. On a side note, not long ago a “Hong Kong business person spent 30,000 yuan (£3,195.89) with the aim of buying two hollow egg carvings as well as 12 zodiac egg carvings”.

Below are two images which convey a close up of two of the Margin Heroes, patience is certainly needed when attempting to sculpt the artwork within the shell.

It is certainly unique and also requires a high level of skill to achieve these results, I would not have thought this would have been possible when you consider how fragile an eggshell is, but, it just goes to show what can be achieved within the world.

A Sword Made Entirely From Post-It Notes!?

Epic weapons, we’ve all seen them. You’ve been in a video game or watching a movie and suddenly your mouth drops open as you see a weapon you just wish was real so that you could hold it in your hands (or maybe even stand on it). From the classic hum of a lightsaber to the jagged edges of a diamond pickaxe we’ve all wanted to see them. Some people forge swords of steel while others carve them from wood so that you can see the pickaxe fly like a boomerang. What you’ve probably never done is made a kickass sword from post-it notes.

Based in Rome, Italy, Marco Ercoli is an artist with a unique twist on his sculptures; all of his sculptures are made from post-it notes. The sword pictured above is made up of 4,000 post-it notes is a complete one to one scale with an actual Katana, albeit a little more colorful.

The hand grenade shown is made up from 1,000 post-it notes or the sculpture titled “I Love America” (the pistol shown below) made up from 3,000 post-it notes. If these weren’t enough, why not try “The Sheep Stand Far From The Rainbow” (the absolutely amazing 1:1 replica of a car) with what I can only consider being countless post-it notes.

Mathematical Equations In The Form Of Arty Animations

And now for something completely different, there has always been a drive for new and innovative tech applications, from transformers style political illustrations to the latest in gaming titles, tech is always moving in different directions.  This avenue is an educational yet quite fun way to convey mathematical Equations and formulas in the form of a moving map art display.

Below is the first GIF, this is, well, a sumo wrestler if I am not mistaken, now, I have had to research these as I am not a mathematical genius and it turns out this is an “epicycloid or a plane curve that is produced by tracing the path of a chosen point of a circle.  This is therefore called an epicycle which rolls without slipping around a fixed circle

 

Next up below is what appears to be an early 2000s music player pattern, this in fact conveys “Fermat’s Spiral” or also known as a “parabolic spiral” and follows this equation or the below image follows this equation r(θ) = a*sqrt(θ)

 

 

 

Next up below is what looks to be a hypnotizing eye, it’s not thankfully but represents a Hyperbolic Spiral and is also known as a “transcendental plane curve or in this case a Reciprocal Spiral“. If you’re wondering what that is then it is defined as a “spiral in which the length of the radius vector is inversely proportional to the angle through which it is turned”, The polar equation of a reciprocal spiral is r = 1/θ”.

Last up below is what video games looked like years ago, anyway, this is defined as “Grid Art using Equations and Inequalities” in basic terms an “inequality means finding all of its solutions. A “solution of an inequality is a number which when substituted for the variable makes the inequality a true statement”.

In layman terms, it’s a mathematical ghost.

Even though these are slightly complicated they are pieces of artwork that are fascinating and present a subject in an engaging way, If I had not found these then I would not have naturally searched for high-end mathematical equations.

Pirate Bay Founder Has Built the Ultimate Piracy Machine

Peter Sunde has already served prison time for his part in co-founding The Pirate Bay, but that hasn’t stopped him from creating a piracy machine that could conceivably cost him $10 million a day in copyright infringement damages. Sunde has built the “Kopimashin”, a system that copies Gnarls Barkley ‘Crazy’ 100 times per second, as an art project to show the absurdity of right’s holders claiming that piracy is robbing them of money.

The “Kopimashin”, powered by a Raspberry Pi, a LCD screen, and a few lines of Python code, creates over 8 million copies of ‘Crazy’ every day, or around $10 million in “losses” for Downtown Records and Warner Music.  These copies, though, are not stored, and are instead sent to /dev/null after their creation. The act of copying itself, however, is legally seen as an infringement.

“I want to show the absurdity on the process of putting a value to a copy. The machine is made to be very blunt and open about the fact that it’s not a danger to any industry at all,”  

“But following their rhetoric and mindset it will bankrupt them. I want to show with a physical example – that also is really beautiful in its own way – that putting a price to a copy is futile.”

Sunde added:

“The damages in the TPB case are equally ludicrous of course. The idea behind it is of course never to get that money paid, but to scare people into silence and obedience,” 

The Kopimashin will be on display at an upcoming exhibition held by ‘hacker art’ organisation Konstfack, as part of the PSK value series.

30 days of battery life combined with walk to charge technology means that instead of plugging in your shoes you can just walk to see your art come to life, with a store to not only download and add images to your shoes but also to upload your own, sharing your artwork on canvases all around the world while people walk.

At $150 (£99.79 approximately) for the starting pair and another $50 (around £33) for shipping, you could be putting a lot of money into a single set of shoes. With them being machine washable and Kevlar fiber coated soles, they are built to last and with the screens you would never have to wear the same shoes twice.

New Augmented Reality App Lets You See Radio Waves

In the modern era, radio waves are everywhere, from crisscrossing Wi-Fi signals, cellular signals, GPS, Bluetooth and many others. Yet we often aren’t aware of them, with human perception limited only to the visible light spectrum of electromagnetic waves. However the new augmented reality app, Architecture of Radio, seeks to give us a glimpse into the invisible world of data around us. When you point a device running the app in a direction or move it around, it creates a view of spherical waves emanating from radio wave sources, overlapping and crossing over each other, like waves in the sea.

The app works by compiling data about radio wave sources from public databases, including 7 million cell towers, 19 million Wi-Fi routers and a number of satellites. Access to this data allows the app to provide the user with a display of the signals in their area. Unfortunately, this relegates the app to more of an artistic curiosity than a truly useful application, as the app does not gather data in real-time from nearby devices, meaning that potential uses of such an application, such as testing ranges on wireless hardware are nonexistent. However, the app is still technically impressive, as collating and visualizing the volume of data stored in its source databases is no simple feat.

The app is to be featured as a piece at the ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe in Germany, by its designer Richard Vijgen. However for those who want a little bit of invisible art for themselves, the app can be downloaded now on iOS, with a version for Android in the works.

Vinyl Sales More Profitable Than Streaming According to RIAA

In the modern digital age of Spotify, Netflix and other streaming services, you would expect tangible, physical media sales to pale in comparison and become a niche outlet. Surprisingly, this couldn’t be further from the truth as vinyl sales figures have increased 52% year-on-year. In contrast to this, streaming services became more widely used at a 27% rate. Additionally, vinyl sales accounted for $222 million while streaming revenue reached $163 million.

According to data analyst Joshua Friedlander:

“Overall, the music industry has become the most-digital in terms of all traditional media outlets – magazines, newspapers – in terms of transition. There is more optimism out there than there was. Two-thirds of the market is still physical [CDs]. It used to be monolithic. Now it’s a mix of things, a revenue diversification that makes a more stable source to grow off of. [Streaming] services have mostly grown through word of mouth. There hasn’t been a big Spotify advertising push. When you get a player like Apple involved, that really generates a whole new level of awareness”.

The data from the RIAA is fascinating and exemplifies how popular vinyl is becoming with collectors and music enthusiasts. Clearly, the future revolves around streaming technology, but it doesn’t provide the same satisfaction as owning a huge LP with gorgeous artwork. Pink Floyd’s prism design on Dark Side of the Moon is sublime and a visual masterpiece. Vinyl records also contain extras, printed song lyrics and sometimes divulge information about the recording process. I would hate to see the end of album art cover because some of the classic albums feature some of my favourite pieces of artwork. Storm Thorgerson sadly passed away some time ago and produced a huge array of distinctive artwork for Pink Floyd. Surely in 2015, we can find room to properly honor the classics through our love of vinyl.

Artist Creates Jaw-Dropping Steampunk Nintendo Game Boy

Artist, Elise Siegwald has created a magnificent steampunk-inspired Nintendo Game Boy which can only be describe as a visual masterpiece. Throughout the Game Boy’s history, I’ve encountered a number of intriguing modifications but nothing comes close to technical wizardry, and unbelievable styling of this creation. As you can see, Elise incorporated rusty copper cogs and fittings to make the custom model look like an antique.

The screen is covered by a striking magnifying glass which resembles a copper mask for deep-sea divers or perhaps an ancient compass. Furthermore, the supporting, worn rope adds a sense of age and history.

The handheld’s rusty, brown colour is sublime and utilizes a rough and ready look. As a result, it almost makes the Game Boy appear like a 50-year-old object cast into the ocean and discovered by archaeologists.

Even the headphone jack has been replaced by naval-type components which help accentuate the steampunk feel.

Here is the project’s very humble beginning showing a Purple Game Boy Colour in fairly awful condition. It’s difficult to imagine how something so dilapidated became a fine piece of unique artwork. 

I particularly enjoy this picture which emphasizes the huge amount of parts required and time invested to create the final piece. Its design is beautiful, extremely striking and a marvel of human creativity. Honestly, I have to commend Elise for creating something which defies belief and illustrates how old pieces of technology can be refurbished in new and exciting ways. From my own personal viewpoint, this is the best console modification I’ve ever seen and would love to own one!

Cerebral Palsy Sufferer Creates Magical Art on a Typewriter

Paul Smith has suffered from cerebral palsy his entire life and overcome all odds to create a number of unbelievable masterpieces. Despite requiring constant care, and living in a nursing home, he manages to use a typewriter to write pieces of art worthy of any exhibition. Unfortunately, Paul is illiterate, but this has only inspired him to use a typewriter in a completely new and unique manner. Ideally, he originally wanted to use a traditional paintbrush hone his skills through delicate brush-strokes. Sadly, this never became a possibility because of his disability.

Many of Paul’s pieces are based on a wide array of themes which emphasizes his skills and creativity. These include drawings of complex ships to a beautiful rendition of the Mona Lisa. Unbelievably, Paul typed pound signs to form the facial detail on possibly the world’s most famous painting. The end result is staggering and I cannot think of any able-bodied artist who would have achieved a similar effect with traditional methods.

The moral of the story is, greatness can be achieved even in the most difficult of circumstances. It’s important to remember how lucky we are to be healthy, and take advantage of the benefits this brings. Once again, we see that a disability can coordinate with genius in a way most people cannot even fathom.

12-Year-Old Boy Breaks Fall by Smashing Into Painting Worth $1.5 Million

A 12-year-old boy in Taiwan has suffered a rather unfortunate accident and already become a viral sensation. While visiting a museum, he suddenly tripped into the path of a $1.5 million painting. The damage caused was quite substantial because he pierced a hole in the painting to break his fall. Unluckily, the Paolo Porpora oil painting is 350 years old and provided to the museum on a loan basis. Additionally, the piece was part of “The Face of Leonardo, Images of a Genius” exhibition, with 50 beautifully compiled paintings by Italian Renaissance artists on display.

CCTV footage recorded the incident which is fairly difficult to watch. Organizers of the event had to close the public gallery and assess the situation. However, it was reopened a few hours later. Focus Taiwan reported that the exhibition’s curator, Andrea Rossi does not want the boy’s family to pay for restoration costs. Obviously, how could they afford it? Thankfully, the painting was insured by the organizers and will be repaired in Taiwan before going back to Italy.

Also, the museum probably should have imposed greater restrictions and improved security. As you can see from the video, the boy is carrying a drink. He could have easily dropped the beverage and stained the painting. Whatever the case, you have to feel some sympathy for him.

10,000 BIC Pens Used to Create Stunning Sculpture

The BIC pen is one of the most pioneering inventions of the 21st Century and over 100 billion have been produced since 1950. 10,000 pens contributed to a marvellous piece of art by AAU Anastas, Landolf Rhode-Barbarigos from the University of Miami and Yann Santerre for the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) symposium in Amsterdam. The structure was designed to question how existing products are only used for specific tasks and think differently about recycling everyday goods.

As you can see, the end result is absolutely breathtaking and looks quite similar to an expensive crystal chandelier. The design team provided an insight into their ambitions:

“The BIC Cristal pen was obviously not designed to be implemented structurally. However, it has mechanical and aesthetic properties that could change its function.”

“The reflections and diffractions it creates because of its geometry are unique. This project is not about the object itself, but more about the process transforming its initial function.”

“It is about designing with components rather than norms. Thus, we designed the BIC pavilion and truly believe in this way of thinking.”

I cannot imagine how much planning and skilled work was required to make this piece but it sends a pretty powerful message. Engineers and inventors can look at existing technologies to make interesting solutions in an environmentally-friendly manner.

Machine Vision Algorithm May Be the next Art Critic

Art historians still find defining art and its creative qualities tricky even today. Art has always been considered something that a human mind can understand and appreciate, but is it really?

A simplified definition of what makes one of the best pieces of art stand out is that they need to have a key element which inspired later artists to use in their own work.

Two researchers at the Rutgers University tend to disagree that humans are the only ones who can judge art. Based on a machine vision algorithm, they proved that paintings can be studied and judged by computers too.

The researchers put it to a test and fed the code a database of about 62,000 pictures of fine art paintings. The results achieved consisted in the computer recognising Monet’s Haystacks at Chailly at sunrise as being one of the most influential paintings in history.

Art critics would agree with the above and state that Rodin’s 1889 sculpture Danaid is not as influential as the machine deems too. But does this really mean a computer can judge fine art now?

The truth is that arguments between critics on determining the most influential pieces of art have been going on for ages now, but this algorithm could prove to be a basis on which they can agree upon.

The algorithm uses visual concepts that analyses both low-key elements, such as colour, texture and simple objects, as well as high-key elements like walking, smiling and so on. A computer then applies the algorithm to a database pool and comes up with the paintings which influenced other authors.

Also, the researchers tell us that the algorithm has bigger potential than just showing a list of paintings. They say that the algorithm can be used in other areas, such as literature, sculpture and even in science.

Father And Son Build Giant Transformers From Old Car Parts

A father and son from Zhangmu township in Hengyang, China have recycled parts from used cars to build massive replicas of Transformers robots.

Farmer Yu Zhilin and his son built their first model, based around the Michael Bay’s movie versions of the Transformers, which are wildly popular in China, over the course of three years, but have become quite skilled at constructing them now.

Their workspace is an abandoned factory, and Yu Zhilin, who has a background in fine art, has turned it into a makeshift museum, from which he and his family make 1 million RMB annually.

Artists Recreate Animation Frame-by-Frame with 3D Printing Technology

Have you ever wondered how beautiful an animation can be? Well, now you can view it at its best, frame-by-frame, in the real world. The MOVE ON…! exhibition in Netherlands is apparently hosting a CGI animation which has been converted into a real-life frame-by-frame illustration of it using 3D printing technology.

The video below shows the progression of the character as he moves around the room, including the objects he interacts with.

“The whole animation is made in CGI, and we used a 3D printer to print each frame. The result is a weird string of characters in different poses. This explains the principles of animation beautifully, without a single bit actually moving. It is a static installation: a frozen movement. If you look closely, you can figure out what happened on that table.”

Textureless GTA V Screenshots Look Beautiful

Digital artist Kim Laughton has turned screenshots of Grand Theft Auto V into moody noir cityscapes. By stripping away textures and apply a grayscale filter, Laughton has created a set of beautiful landscapes with a cel-shaded feel.

The works are on display at Monadigital.net’s Flanetrie exhibition, at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. The theme of the exhibition is ‘Flânerie’, the concept of being in and seeing the world, but feeling detached from it, as posited by French poet Baudelaire.

Adobe Celebrates 25 Years of Photoshop With Spectacular Ad

It’s been 25 years since a little Mac application was first released that allowed you to edit photos. Yes, 25 years since Adobe Photoshop was born as a slightly more advanced version of your standard Paint application. However, across that 25 years, the word Photoshop has become a synonym for editing images on a computer and enabled millions of creative minds to come up with some of the most spectacular pieces of digital art we’ve ever seen. That and it has allowed countless photographers to make models look thinner.

To celebrate this, Adobe has come up with a spectacular TV ad to be shown during The Oscars this weekend, that goes someway to show what can be done with Photoshop. It covers many famous pieces of graphic design that were made possible by Adobe’s app, including famous ads, artworks and animated films including Shrek.

Take a Psychedelic Trip With The Simpsons in Pixel Art

Pixel Art is becoming increasingly popular these days. We’re always seeing music videos, entire movies and nostalgic video games created in this unique style. Paul Robertson, creator of the Scott Pilgrim video game and Ivan Dixon have created this masterful reimagining of The Simpsons intro in psychedelic pixel art.

It comes with everything you know and love from the classic Simpsons intro, but with even more, including a spectacular ending. I don’t know about you, but I think an entire episode made in this style wouldn’t be such a crazy idea. If not that, a Simpsons video game like this would look just as good too.

Why Are There USB Drives Sticking out of Buildings in New York?

Ever seen a USB connector just sticking out of a wall in New York? That’s because artist Aram Bartholl came up with the idea called “Dead Drops”. Essentially, Aram has been creating a completely anonymous offline file-sharing network and while I wouldn’t imagine this kind of file sharing to be safe from viruses and other issues, I still love the idea.

Of course, plugging your laptop into a wall could cause it to get a few scratches, so a little care would be needed. However, the temptation to simply discover what others have left on the drives, as well as thinking about the kind of cool stuff you could leave on there too, is pretty awesome.

Each Dead Drop is installed with just one file on the device, a small .txt file which explains how the project works.

GTA V Without Textures is Art

A lot of things get pushed off as art these days. Splattered paint, piles of rubbish, famous paintings in raw data, just to name a few. But what about GTA V without any textures? Is that really ‘art’?

Maybe more so than the others in that list. These images consist of screenshots of Los Santos from GTA V without any textures. Artist Kim Laughton had the idea and her shots are now part of the Monadigital exhibition Flanetrie in China.

The images offer a unique view of the city formed of abstract shapes.

Artist Paints Poop Portrait of Mark Zuckerberg

A Brooklyn artist and hacker, known only as KATSU, has created a large portrait of Facebook creator and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, painted with his own faeces. The poop portrait is on display in The Hole gallery in New York, as part of the artist’s first solo exhibition, called “Remember the Future”.

KATSU has quite the Zuckerberg fetish: in April 2013, he littered the walls of New York City with posters of the Facebook Maestro’s face, doctored to give him a black eye. The artist revealed to Gizmodo why Zuckerberg is his favourite target, saying, “Mark is Mark. He’s this mutation, this gross aspiration everyone idolizes. His face has reach. He deserves to be ridiculed.”

New Apple Store in Hangzhou, China, Covered With Amazing Mural

Apple’s store openings aren’t always like your regular store openings. They tend to plaster the building in some zany pattern, often featuring something of local cultural significance.

Well that has certainly been the case for a new store in Hangzhou, China, where the company has wrapped the building in an incredible hand-painted mural. The mural in question was painted by Calligrapher Wang Dongling and features a 2000 year-old poem about Hangzhou.

Apple really seems to be trying to secure its position in China, a country that is dominated by Android users with low-cost smartphones. Tim Cook has mentioned on occasion his desire to bolster the company’s position in the country, with its exceptionally large and tech-thirsty population.

Disney Builds Autonomous Robot to Draw on Sand

We’ve all drawn or written in the sand. For most of us our tool of choice is a stick, but for Disney it’s an autonomous robot that uses lasers.

As part of a collaboration between Disney Research and Swiss Engineering school ETH Zurich, the ‘Beachbot’ has been created with the intention of turning beaches into giant canvases. The turtle-shaped machine automatically circumvents a beach using special telemetry data.

Quite like robotic vacuums and lawn mowers, the device measures its distance from four poles placed in the sand to determine the area in which it can draw. It carries a small rake that then grazes the sand as it moves along its path.

You might be wondering why Disney is involved with this, but for the last few years the company has been operating its own ‘Disney Research’ group to develop new technologies which may eventually be utilised in its parks, resorts and in the production of its movies.

See Famous Paintings as Raw Data

Now we all know how much effort can go into a painting by a person, but exactly how much goes into a painting by a computer? Japanese artist Yousuke Ozawa set out to demonstrate that by creating a series of artwork that showcases some of history’s most famous pieces in raw data.

Yes, what you’re seeing above is the legendary painting ‘The Scream’ converted into its raw data. The idea of the artwork is to showcase just how much code is behind an amazing painting such as that and how computers intricately replicate the work of the artist on our screens.

“Art is now seen through google images or wallpapers. However, we are actually looking at a series of numbers and letters instead of actual paint. Through a generator I retrieved the codes of each paintings I found on google images and printed them out, framed and showcased them at a galleries in Tokyo.” – Yousuke Ozawa

A 4Chan Post Sold For $90,900 on eBay… Wait, What?

Everyone can sell literally anything on eBay nowadays. For example, this eBay seller has auctioned a simple 4Chan post and expected to get a lot of money for it.

The really interesting part is that the user actually made a fortune off the post. It is said that Artnet originally caught the post, a vendor known as “Artwork by Anonymous”, who turned the simple Chan post into a $90,900 masterpiece.

The post originally started at $500, which is still a lot of money for a common thing you find on the internet, only to end at the above mentioned bid price. Also, the lucky bidder is said to enjoy free expedite shipping for the product at hand.

Re/Code mentions that the bid reached the five digit count in just 36 hours, confirming that the auction is fake since it is pretty easy to inflate an eBay listing. Even so, people can just bid and not pay for it, a common practice found on the site.

Anyone who has missed the first auction can now enjoy a second listing of the Chan post, which seems to have a starting price of $500 as well. As for the eBay seller, it seems that art doesn’t have to be unique in order to get a heap of money out of it.

New Graffiti Artwork Uses GIFs as Modern Street Art

Pedestrians walking down the streets of London have been greeted with some amazing and funny works of art. This is the making of Guus ter Beek and Tayfun Sarier, who apparently used a picture frame around an iPad to display some of their GIF artworks, taping the device in various places for people to enjoy and be amazed.

The colorful, lively and funny GIFs have been an eye-catcher for people walking down the streets, having them stop, take notice and even take some pictures of what the two artists displayed. It is said that after the GIFs got some attention, ter Beek and Sarier would then remove the iPad and place it in another location, recording people’s reactions as they walked past or stopped to admire them.

The two are said to be working in advertising, but also enjoy creating art projects on the side. They are said to be constantly showing each other GIFs, which is how the two came up with the project to “integrate the world of GIFs with our favorite hangouts.” The GIFs have also been chosen to ‘reflect their surroundings’, having an infinite hamburgers GIF for example placed in an area where food franchises are present.

However, ter Beek and Sarier are not the first to get creative with GIFs. The Photographer’s Galley in London and the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City are also housing similar forms art.
