Whats Worse Than Aliens and Predators? Welcome The Judge

When the two iconic worlds of Aliens and Predators first joined up in the Alien Vs Predator movies, people were worried about how two complete series could keep to their roots. Sufficed to say the series worked and fans were overjoyed as mankind ran in fear from two of the greatest hunters in the universe. How else could mankind fight back then with their own hunters, a judge by the name of Judge Dredd!

Revealed as part of their Comic-Con panel, writer John Layman and artist Chris Mooneyham will bring their worlds together in Predator vs Judge Dredd vs Aliens. With the famous Judge and his partner Anderson hunting down a rogue scientist you can expect the law to be ready, that is until the scientist starts looking to create his own breed of xenomorphs, an action that will gather the attention of a Predator, looking to hunt both Judge and Xenomorph alike.

When asked why he believed the Xenomorph and Predators work so well together in mash-up stories, Layman replied saying that:

“They are modern monsters, kinda the 21st Century equivalent of story of vampires and werewolves. They are vehicles to tell different types of stories, and I don’t think the story possibilities will ever be exhausted, any more than stories of vampires are. There’s always a fresh take to be found. In the case of this story, I’m just shooting for crazy fun and adrenaline-fuelled escapism madness.”

With the first of four issues coming on July 27th, we’ve got a while to wait to see how this fight ends.

Reebok To Resurrect ‘Alien Stomper’ Trainers

We all love to see and own things that we see on the big screen, from the same piece of jewelry that our heroes wear to jumpers and jackets that you see on the TV. In celebration of the anniversary of the release of iconic sci-fi film Aliens, Reebok is looking to re-release its classic “Alien Stomper” trainers.

Those familiar with the Alien franchise will recognise the trainers as the shoes that Sigourney Weaver wore in the first film, a design that was available for a limited time back in 1986 when the film first released. Now 30 years on, Reebok are looking to bring them back for a limited time, with the trainers available both in select stores and online.

The trainers will be released on April 26th, chosen in honor of planet LV-426 the original setting for the Alien films. With no set price though you could look to spend a pretty penny as many will be looking to grab a pair, if only to go to the cinema and watch reruns of Alien and Aliens, before going home and finishing off the showings with a collection of films featuring not only Aliens but Predators and then to experience it all over again in Alien Isolation. Available in both the classic version and the high tops that are worn by Bishop during the film, you will soon be able to run away from Aliens and Predators in comfort.

EVGA Bundles Grey Goo With Select Power Supplies

Getting free games bundles with your graphics card or motherboard isn’t something new, that has been around for quite a while now, but it is a rarity that we also see games being bundled with power supplies. In fact, I can’t remember it happening before myself. However, that is exactly what EVGA has done as the have gone ahead and bundled Grey Goo Definitive Edition with select power supplies.

The game isn’t just bundled with a one or two power supplies, this offer applies to pretty much the entire 80Plus Gold, Platinum, and Titanium rated power supply lineup, as you can see in the list below. Ranging from entry level 550W models all the way up to impressive 1600W models, the offer is made available for most people.

Grey Goo is a real-time strategy (RTS) game that combines classic strategy mechanics and a balanced combat system with an emphasis on large-scale decision-making. It puts you at the centre of a tactical struggle for survival – and ultimately, control of Ecosystem 9.

The game features both a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer action with your friends and enemies. In single player, you have the option to play one of three factions: Humans, Beta, and the Goo. The Humans are the masters of defensive architecture while the Beta only is described as a proud and versatile alien race. The Goo is probably what most people will want to play tho as that is the enigmatic and highly mobile life form made up of, yes you guessed it, grey goo. In the multiplayer part, you also get a fourth faction, the disruptive and unpredictable Shroud.

As always with this kind of offer, there are a few conditions to get the free game. You’ll have to have purchased the power supply on March the 25th, 2016 or later from an authorized reseller. You’ll also need to register the purchased product to get the game key. Once you’ve followed the redeem guide, you’ll get a game code emailed that you then can activate through your Steam app as you most likely have done with so many games before.

All the fine-print and the links to redeem your game can be found on the official mini-site for this Grey Goo offer.

Crytek Reveales Its Upcoming Virtual Reality Game

Crytek always strived to bring the most immersive user experience on the market. Today, virtual reality might be the key for the company, allowing them to place the player in a world where there are no limits to what creativity could accomplish.

The latest news shows that Crytek has worked hard on a new virtual reality title named Robinson: The Journey. Judging by its poster, the game is about a lot of exploration in a fully immersive VR experience. We see that the action takes place on an alien planet, filled with dense vegetation and dinosaurs.

The dinosaur addition leads us to believe that part of the game footage was already leaked in Crytek’s dinosaur VR demo previously demoed, but the company wants you to experience more than just some 3D animated creatures walking past or chasing you. Crytek’s Director of Production, David Bowman, said that the title aims at reshaping how people think about games.

What Bowman means is that the company plans on delivering players a means of fully interacting with its vast environment using the latest tech available on the market. However, VR tech is also known for its pesky nausea effect, so players may still be able to enjoy just a few minutes or maybe even an hour of continuous gameplay. Nonetheless, the title will still be one of the first to set the grounds for future VR games.

Boarding UFO in GTA V Possible, Easter Egg Hunters Think

Appearance of UFOs in Grand Theft Auto: V, in a mission named Alien Abduction surprised many players. Easter Egg hunters have been working hard and already discovered that 4 UFO exists in the digital world. Evidence exists that suggests the possibility of getting abducted by aliens without interfering with the game core processes.

A breakthrough was made by reddit user trainwreck42o which shows in his thread that the interior of the UFO can be loaded under specific conditions such as there should be no injuries (i.e. Full Health) and another unknown requirement which will trigger the script. The later condition should have specific variable (-1 or 999) so that the code can recognize it. The final step according to him is to discover the warp points which will take us into the loaded interiors.

Since the discovery, many theories have emerged which suggests the conditions and factors. It could be like PHANTOM Assignments and easter eggs like Yeti’s shout in ‘Golmud Railway’ and Megalodon encounters in ‘Paracel Storm’ (CTE) and ‘Nansha Strike’ maps in Battlefield 4 requires specific conditions to execute.

Since the launch, many players have been trying to find easter eggs like Jetpacks, Aliens and partially succeed. There are traces in the code of existence of a Jetpack in the game. Speculations and rumors surrounds the hunt. In spite of no major success, Easter egg hunters haven’t given up.

Players are coming together to crack the code! I am quite surprised with this breakthrough, are you? Let us know your views in the comment section.

Every UFO Sighting Since 1933 Can be Viewed on an Interactive Map

Sightings of possible UFO activity has been increasing common the past century. However, even with their increase in number, they still remain an intriguing mystery. The last sighting of a UFO that went viral on the Internet was in California, where a high-speed UFO passes through a town. Also, the video can be viewed in 4K.

(This might also make you wonder if UFOs should get a ticket for speeding)

All these UFO sightings can even lead to crazy conspiracy theories, but nonetheless, everyone is free to believe in what they like. Regardless of what everyone’s belief is, people continue to see these sightings and thanks to conspiracy buffs and alien hunters, someone managed to put all recorded sightings together in an interactive map, leading to sightings since 1933.

The map was made by Christian Pearson, an MBA candidate, using data from the National UFO Reporting Centre. The sightings appear as a flashing dot on the map, along with an appropriate colour stating for how long the sighting took place.

“It was a fun way of conveying the point that beautiful data visualisation can provide deep insights,” Mr Pearson told City Lab.

Also, Pearson appears to discredit the myth that sightings tend to happen more often in secluded rural places, showing that heavy clusters of sightings have been reported in major urban cities rather than quiet rural towns.

“The map clearly shows large clusters of reporting in urban areas,” Mr Pearson said.

Man Says He Has An Electrocuted Alien In His Freezer, With Pictures To Prove It

The Daily Mail reports that a Chinese man has been posting pictures of himself and an apparent Alien which he found on the banks of the Yellow (Yangtze) River. Mr Li stated that the alien came from a UFO which crash landed near his house. He claims to have then discovered the charred electrocuted remains of the alien in a rabbit trap and says it has been stored in his freezer since March.

The pictures have sparked huge interest across Chinese social media and the world. Recently Chinese bloggers have been trying to make connections between the alien and UFO sightings in the Hubei province. Despite all of this the Chinese police recently paid a visit to Mr Li’s house to see the alien only to rather rapidly come to the conclusion that the figure is merely a high quality rubber construction that seeks to imitate the most commonly held image of an alien.

While the story is entertaining and probably sparks the imagination of alien and UFO believers, I myself am skeptical and it all looks just a bit too staged and stereotypical to be believable.

What are your thoughts on the “frozen alien”?
