Aerocool Xpredator Cube Micro-ATX Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Xpredator isn’t particularly cheap, nor is it that expensive. At around £70 from most major retailers, it’s about on par with similar size and specification offerings from a few major rivals. With the added bonus that you’re getting dual fan controllers and two good quality fans thrown in for good measure.

Overview

Aerocool has once again delivered a fantastic product at a competitive price, making the Xpredator Cube one of the best options for a cube-style Micro-ATX gaming chassis on the market. The build quality is very good throughout, although the side panels did feel a little clunky to get locked back into place, although that’s hardly an uncommon problem with most chassis’. The chassis feels pretty durable, which is good news for those who plan on adding dual 280mm radiators and a couple of graphics cards, as you’ll be wanting a chassis that can handle the extra weight.

Dual fan controllers, a 200mm fan in the front and a 140mm fan in the rear are very welcome additions to this chassis. While the fan controllers are great for the stock fans, they’ll be just as useful for any additional fans you add. This is great for helping you balance silent performance while you’re working or watching a movie, but when you’ve got your headset on and you’re running your graphics cards at maximum, you can dial the fans up to 100% and keep your system as cool as possible. Then you also have the top panel retractable ventilation, further adding to the silence/cooling capabilities of the chassis.

The overall design may not be to everyone’s taste, but I do like the black and orange theme. Of course, there’s plenty of other colour schemes available for this chassis, although admittedly some of them are a little garish, but style is a subjective matter anyway, so I’m sure you’ll find one that suits your own taste.

Room for a pair of large graphics cards, ample water cooling support, Micro-ATX motherboard, a large PSU and lots of cable space; the Aerocool Xpredator Cube is a very capable chassis and it’ll be a great choice for anyone wanting to build a high-end gaming PC.
