James Kingston describes himself as an “adventurer and Youtuber” and releases POV footage from soaring heights. Kingston’s latest creation is quite difficult to watch if you suffer from vertigo and charts his descent on an extremely tall crane. Unbelievably, he nonchalantly climbs down whilst talking through the process and even shuffles along the edges at a fairly brisk pace.
As someone who isn’t overly fond of heights, the video is quite mesmerizing and I cannot comprehend how he can do something so risky without any hesitation. Kingston uses a GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition strapped onto his head to display a unique perspective. The end result is captured at a resolution of 1920×1080 and 60 frames-per-second. It all seems rather normal to him and even asks viewers to send in requests. While it can make you a bit queasy, it does provide a wonderful wide view of the surrounding location.
Technological advancements have allowed daredevils to exhilarate and shock us in a brand new way. Small cameras like the GoPro Hero 4 are fantastic for action sequences and allow for extreme filming situations. Personally, I’m not entirely convinced people like Kingston will ever be satisfied and could take too many risks to feel the next thrill.
If you are easily sick, I would proceed with caution when watching the actual footage below:
